About the Author
Fara Shimbo is Master Crystallière at Shimbo Research Pottery in Hygiene, Colorado. She has been a potter for fifty years, beginning with study at the Brooklyn Museum Art School in the early 1960s. She is the author of a number of books on various subjects including glaze composition, domestic ferrets, and science fiction.
